Soccer Recap: Ironwood Comes Up Short

If Ironwood was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Lake Havasu last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Ironwood Eagles took a 5-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Washington Rams on Thursday.

Ironwood hit Washington with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Brynn Anderson, Marley Schumacher, and Leila Cain.

Ironwood's loss dropped their record down to 6-8-1. As for Washington, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Ironwood take on the Carl Hayden Community at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Washington, they will be playing at home against North Canyon at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Washington is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.6 goals per game this season.
