Winfield is 9-1 against Sumiton Christian since March of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Pirates will venture away from home to square off against the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Winfield comes in on eight and Sumiton Christian on 13.

Last Thursday, Winfield got the win against Carbon Hill by a conclusive 20-1. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won 15 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, while Sumiton Christian put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Falkville. The Eagles blew past the Blue Devils 10-0. The Eagles are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the tenth contest they've won by 6+ runs this season.

Winfield's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-6. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Sumiton Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 19-7.

Winfield was able to grind out a solid win over Sumiton Christian when the teams last played back in March, winning 7-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
