Softball Game Preview: Bogue Chitto Bobcats vs. Loyd Star Hornets

Bogue Chitto is 1-9 against Loyd Star since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Bogue Chitto will be playing at home against Loyd Star at 6:30 p.m. Bogue Chitto has given up an average of 9.6 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Last Thursday, Bogue Chitto came up short against West Lincoln and fell 15-10.

Kylee Reynolds made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Joy Leggett, who went 3-for-5 with one triple and one run.

Meanwhile, Loyd Star entered their tilt with Enterprise on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Yellowjackets.

Loyd Star pushed their record up to 12-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 3.75 runs across that stretch. As for Bogue Chitto, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.
