Softball Recap: Litchfield Comes Up Short

Litchfield lost against East Alton-Wood River back in May of 2017, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Purple Panthers fell just short of the Oilers by a score of 4-3. The Purple Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Litchfield's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for East Alton-Wood River, their win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-12.

Looking ahead, Litchfield will square off against Vandalia at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Vandals will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for East Alton-Wood River, they will challenge Breese Central at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
