Football Recap: John Paul II Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Friday just wasn't the day for John Paul II's offense. They were outmatched by the Geneva Eagles and fell 69-0. The loss continues a trend for the Centurions in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

Geneva found their leader in sophomore Shae McNew, who rushed for 152 yards and two scores. McNew didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made eight total tackles. Asher Shindler helped out on the ground, rushing for 102 yards and a rushing touchdown.

John Paul II's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Geneva, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2.

John Paul II does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Geneva, they will square off against Bishop Gorman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
