Basketball Recap: Billings Comes Up Short

The Billings Wildcats lost to the Norwood Pirates on the road by a 59-40 margin on Tuesday.

Carder Kelly had a dynamite game For Norwood., almost dropping a double-double with 26 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Kelly a new career-high in steals (four). Another player making a difference was Laken Coatney, who posted eight points and five boards.

Billings' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Norwood, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Billings will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Marionville at 6:00 p.m. on December 9. As for Norwood, they will venture away from home to square off against Gloria Deo Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
