Basketball Recap: Billings Takes a Loss

The Billings Wildcats ended up a good deal behind the Norwood Pirates on Tuesday and lost 59-40.

Carder Kelly went supernova For Norwood., almost dropping a double-double with 26 points and nine rebounds. Those nine boards gave Kelly a new career-high. Laken Coatney was another key player, putting up eight points and five rebounds.

Billings' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Norwood, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Billings will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Marionville at 6:00 p.m. on the 9th. As for Norwood, they have already played their next matchup, a 73-37 victory against Gloria Deo Academy on the 2nd.
