Softball Recap: Gunderson Grizzlies vs. Mt. Pleasant Cardinals        
        
		
            
 In what's become a running theme this season, Gunderson gave their fans yet another huge  win on Friday. They were the clear victor by  a  13-5 margin over the Mt. Pleasant Cardinals. 13 seems to be a good number for Gunderson as the  squad scooped up a  victory with the same number of  runs in their previous game.
  Alanna Martinez Poklong was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out eight batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and four unearned) runs off   one  hit. Martinez Poklong has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts every time she's  pitched this season. Martinez Poklong was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-4 with a  triple, a  run,  and  an  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Breanna Bartek, who  went 4-for-5 with a  home run, three  runs,  and four  RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to  triples, as she's  now  hit  at least one in the last three games she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Sabrina Gonzales, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
 Gunderson is  on a roll lately: they've  won nine of their last ten matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record  this season. As for Mt. Pleasant, their loss  ended  a  five-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 9-9.
 As of now, neither Gunderson nor Mt. Pleasant have any future games scheduled.
