Volleyball Recap: Citrus Valley Comes Up Short

Citrus Valley extended their losing streak to 13 on Monday, dropping them down to 4-17. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Yucaipa Thunderbirds. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Thunderbirds this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-1 loss two weeks ago.

As for Yucaipa, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-12 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted against Citrus Valley since March 9, 2024.

Dylan Spry was the offensive standout of the contest as he had 12 digs and one assist. He is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last six games he's played.

Citrus Valley has already played their next match (against Redlands East Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Yucaipa, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Beaumont on the 20th.
