Basketball Game Preview: South Adams Starfires vs. Blackford Bruins

The South Adams Starfires will face off against the Blackford Bruins at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. South Adams is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

South Adams is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They received a blow on Saturday as they fell 59-43 to Northfield.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Henry Craig, who posted 11 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Scott, who earned nine points and five steals.

Even though they lost, South Adams was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Blackford didn't have too much trouble with Madison-Grant on Friday as they won 57-43.

South Adams' defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Blackford, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.

South Adams took a serious blow against Blackford in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 65-27. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point South Adams was down 32-11.
