Baseball Recap: Durham Academy Takes a Loss

Durham Academy lost against Cary Academy last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Durham Academy lost 12-1 to Cary Academy. The Cavaliers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Durham Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Collin Hernandez, who went 1-for-3 with one double. That double was Hernandez's first of the season.

Durham Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Cary Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season.

Durham Academy will be playing at home against Covenant Day at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Covenant Day will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Durham Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cary Academy, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Ravenscroft at 5:00 p.m. on April 8.
