Basketball Recap: Bridges Prep Snags Sixth Win in Last Eight Games

If Cross wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Bridges Prep, they should've done a better job of containing A Wilson. The Bridges Prep Buccaneers put the hurt on the Cross Stingrays with a sharp 76-51 win on Monday thanks in part to Wilson, who dropped a triple-double on 22 points, 19 boards, and ten blocks. He has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more boards the last 15 times he's played.

Another player making a difference was Shyheem Glover, who posted seven points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Bridges Prep has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points per game. As for Cross, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight contests, which is still a better percentage than their 4-13 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bridges Prep won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Edisto at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cross, they and Bethesda Academy will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played.
