Basketball Recap: Oakhaven Skates Past Trezevant with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oakhaven). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Trezevant Bears 82-55. With that win, the Hawks brought their scoring average up to 53.8 points per game.

Oakhaven's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ayden Deener, who posted 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Amari Spates, who earned 16 points.

Oakhaven has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Trezevant, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oakhaven will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Memphis Home Education Association at 6:00 p.m. on December 20th. As for Trezevant, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Booker T. Washington at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
