Deron Benson Delivers Best Performance of Season

Deron Benson produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Newton to the win on Friday. Benson threw for 250 yards and five touchdowns on only 17 passes.

Benson is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against South Gwinnett on Thursday. Benson threw for 241 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.7% of his passes the last time he and the Comets duked it out back in October of 2023.

Atkinson might have his next game, a road matchup with Archer, circled on his calendar. When Atkinson last faced the Tigers back in October of 2023, he forced two fumbles and made 19 total tackles.

Burgess and Grayson will be playing at home against Archer at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will pit Burgess up against the Tigers' star quarterback Jordan Do. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

On Friday, Newton got the W thanks in part to Andrew Leslie playing the best football he has all season. Leslie picked up 123 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 50 yards.

This year, Leslie has caught 9 touchdowns while averaging 65.7 receiving yards per game.

A Season-Best Effort from Elijah Miller Leads Grayson over South Gwinnett

Elijah Miller produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Grayson to the win on Friday. Miller rushed for 84 yards and three touchdowns. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in September of 2023.

This season, Miller has run in 7 touchdowns while averaging 49.8 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had four rushing touchdowns.
