Basketball Recap: Pinewood Prep Takes a Loss

Pinewood Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 29-25 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ashley Hall Panthers. Pinewood Prep was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Ashley Hall apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Pinewood Prep's record now sits at 1-9. As for Ashley Hall, the victory snapped their losing streak at 22 games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-12 record.

Pinewood Prep didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 30-29 win against Cathedral Academy on the 4th. As for Ashley Hall, they will challenge Palmetto Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
