Preview: Trinidad vs. Texhoma
Trinidad will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Texhoma at 7:00 PM. Both teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
Trinidad have to be hurting after a devastating 6-34 loss at the hands of Raton last week. Trinidad got a solid performance out of junior Matt Martinez, who picked up 171 yards on the ground; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the win.
Meanwhile, Texhoma might have drawn first blood against Gruver, but it was Gruver who got the last laugh. Texhoma were given a punishing 20-56 defeat at the hands of Gruver. The result was completely at odds with the teams' state rankings as Texhoma enjoys a hefty 287 spot advantage.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. We'll see which team satisfies that hunger and which team leaves with an empty belly.
