Soccer Game Preview: Gretna vs. Lincoln Northwest

The Gretna Dragons are taking a road trip to challenge the Lincoln Northwest Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Gretna is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nebraska's top teams: Elkhorn, who was ranked 22nd at the time (Gretna was ranked 24th). The Dragons lost 4-1 to the Antlers on Saturday. Gretna have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Lincoln Northwest was not quite Standing Bear's equal in the second half on Saturday. They fell just short of the Grizzlies by a score of 1-0. That's two games in a row now that Lincoln Northwest have lost by just one goal.

Gretna now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Lincoln Northwest, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-9.
