Softball Recap: Southwest Legacy Comes Up Short

Southwest Legacy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They came up short against the McCollum Cowboys, falling 15-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cowboys this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-8 back in March.

Amy Saul made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Novalee Gloria, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Southwest Legacy's loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for McCollum, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-5.

Coincidentally, Southwest Legacy and McCollum will both be playing Southwest the next time they take the field. The Titans will head out to face the Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Cowboys will head out to face them at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
