Basketball Game Preview: Sale Creek Panthers vs. Van Buren County Eagles

Sale Creek hasn't had much luck against Van Buren County recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Sale Creek Panthers will square off against the Van Buren County Eagles at 5:30 p.m.

Sale Creek easily dispatched Varsity Opponent on Tuesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Sale Creek fell just short of Berean Academy by a score of 57-55 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Van Buren County earned a 51-43 win over Monterey on Saturday.

The victory got Van Buren County back to even at 6-6. As for Sale Creek, they now have a losing record at 12-13.

Sale Creek beat Van Buren County 66-59 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sale Creek since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
