Baseball Recap: Baldwin Comes Up Short

Baldwin fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Fernandina Beach on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 5-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indians of the 6-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Maxwell Gallagher made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Baldwin now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Fernandina Beach, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Baldwin will venture away from home to face off against Bishop Snyder at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fernandina Beach, they will host Sandalwood at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
