Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Campbell Hall). They won by a run and slipped past the Windward Wildcats 10-9. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Vikings considering their one-run performance the contest before.
Kyle Weaver tossed a big game, pitching 7.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.
At the plate, Jonah Smiedt was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ryan Fowler, who went 4-for-6 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Campbell Hall kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Campbell Hall's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-12. As for Windward, they dropped their record down to 12-13 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Coming up, Campbell Hall will head out to square off against Brentwood School at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Windward does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
