Oxon Hill waltzed into their matchup on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Douglass Eagles by a score of 49-40. The Clippers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Neveah Daniels, who posted seven points in addition to 12 boards and three blocks. Francesca Svizzero was another key player, putting up 13 points and five rebounds.

Oxon Hill's victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-5. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.2 points per game. As for Douglass, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-6.

Oxon Hill has already played their next game, a 62-21 win against Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North on the 28th. As for Douglass, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 71-38 victory against Friendly on the 28th.
