Cristo Rey Research Triangle fell victim to The Burlington School and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 8-0 to the Spartans. While losing is never fun, Cristo Rey Research Triangle can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 487th, while The Burlington School are ranked 170th).

Meanwhile, Bradford Academy's game on Thursday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Lee Christian by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty five goals in the game before, Bradford Academy's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

This is the second loss in a row for Bradford Academy and nudges their season record down to 5-3. As for Cristo Rey Research Triangle, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.
