Softball Game Preview: Forest Hills Central Rangers vs. West Ottawa Panthers

The Forest Hills Central Rangers will venture away from home to challenge the West Ottawa Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Forest Hills Central is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.

Things were looking good for Forest Hills Central after they put the first run on the board on Wednesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They came up short against Christian, falling 14-3.

Peyton Robinson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Micah McClarty was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs.

Meanwhile, West Ottawa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 13-3 to East Kentwood.

West Ottawa's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Forest Hills Central, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.

Everything went Forest Hills Central's way against West Ottawa when the teams last played back in April of 2023, as Forest Hills Central made off with a 20-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rangers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
