 Augusta Southeastern was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss. They took  a  7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Seymour Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Augusta Southeastern of the  12-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in April of 2023.
 Augusta Southeastern saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Mason Fry, who  went 2-for-4 with four  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Owen Rigg, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 On Seymour's side,  Hunter Miller and  Lane Barker did most of the damage at the plate:  Miller  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances, while  Barker  went 3-for-4 with four  RBI, a  run,  and a  double.  Dalton Phillips was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
 Augusta Southeastern's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Seymour,  the  win  got them back to even at 5-5.
 Augusta Southeastern will head out on the road to  challenge  Mendon Unity at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. Mendon Unity will roll in looking for their  ninth straight  victory, something Augusta Southeastern surely won't give up without a fight. As for Seymour, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Liberty at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Seymour is facing Liberty at the right time seeing as Liberty is stuck on  a  three-game losing streak.
