Volleyball Game Preview: Fremd Vikings vs. Barrington Fillies/Broncos

The Fremd Vikings will square off against the Barrington Fillies/Broncos at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

On Tuesday, Fremd earned a 2-0 victory over Hoffman Estates.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Fremd took both sets by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-14.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Tuesday Barrington sidestepped Hersey for a 2-1 win.

If you add up the scores from across all three sets (70-66) Barrington actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 25-22, 25-23.

Fremd's victory bumped their record up to 19-5. As for Barrington, their win bumped their record up to 16-10.

Fremd came out on top in a nail-biter against Barrington when the teams last played back in September, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Fillies/Broncos have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
