Basketball Recap: Bear Creek Bears vs. Columbine Rebels
Bear Creek lost against Columbine two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bear Creek Bears took a 74-68 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Columbine Rebels. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Bear Creek still got an impressive performance from Alen Avdic, who posted 23 points along with five boards and three steals. That was a full 33.8% of Bear Creek's points, marking the third time in a row he's had more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Hegerle, who scored ten points and five rebounds.
Jeremiah Shortis went supernova for Columbine, going 11 for 14 on his way to 34 points and seven boards.
