Basketball Recap: Ce'airah Underwood's Big Game Can't Quite Lead North over Firestone

North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Firestone Falcons, falling 63-43. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 64-11 back in January.

North lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Ce'Airah Underwood, who posted 22 points. That was a full 51.2% of North's points, marking the tenth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Armonie Lewis was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Kennedy Whiting was the offensive standout of the match as she had 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aliza Blair, who scored ten points.

North's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Firestone, their win bumped their record up to 7-10.

North didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-57 defeat against Garfield Heights on the 3rd. As for Firestone, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 56-34 loss against Richmond Heights on the 1st.
