Basketball Game Preview: Parkview Vikings vs. Memorial Chargers

The Parkview Vikings will be taking part in a tournament against the Memorial Chargers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Saturday, Parkview lost to Central on the road by a 60-45 margin. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Meanwhile, Memorial strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They breezed past Pryor to the tune of 86-38. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 52-19.

Parkview better focus on containing Isaiah Garrett and Jarius Bossell as the pair were huge in Memorial's win. Garrett shot 89% from the field to rack up 19 points along with seven boards and four steals, while Bossell went 9-for-15 on his way to 19 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. Garrett is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last eight games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Fabian Harris, who went 5-for-10 en route to 11 points and six rebounds.

Memorial was working as a unit and finished the game with 28 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January.

Memorial's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Parkview, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
