It may have taken double overtime to finish the job, but the Mountain Empire Redhawks ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They secured a 64-60 W over Ocean View Christian. The victory was nothing new for Mountain Empire as they're now sitting on three straight.
It was another big night for Andrew Sepulveda, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 20 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Jacob Shawcroft was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Mountain Empire's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for Ocean View Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.
Mountain Empire won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Royals at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. As for Ocean View Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge the Raptor at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. High Tech NC will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
