Recap: Mendez Jaguars vs. Wilson Mules
The Mendez Jaguars lost against the Wilson Mules back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Mendez was the victim of a tough 58-33 defeat at the hands of Wilson. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Mendez in their matchups with Wilson: they've now lost three in a row.
Wilson can attribute much of their success to Diego Burgara, who scored 21 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Burgara has scored at least 25% of Wilson's points. Adam Pena was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Mendez now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Wilson, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Mendez will be playing in front of their home fans against Contreras at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wilson, they will head out on the road to face off against Maywood Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Maywood Academy is ranked 719th, while Wilson is ranked 738th).
