Basketball Recap: Eureka Loggers vs. McKinleyville Panthers

The Eureka Loggers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They took a 57-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of McKinleyville. Eureka found out winning isn't easy when you don't work as a unit and post ten fewer assists than your opponent.

Despite the loss, Eureka still got an impressive performance from Elijah Estrada, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Estrada also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Will Mooney was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead McKinleyville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nick Maher, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jordan Brown, who scored 14 points along with five assists.

Eureka has not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-13 record this season. As for McKinleyville, their win bumped their record up to 17-9.

Eureka does not have any more games scheduled as of now. McKinleyville also has no future games currently scheduled.
