Softball Recap: Cheyenne Comes Up Short

If Cheyenne was feeling good fresh off their 21-5 takedown of Democracy Prep Agassi Campus last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Desert Shields came up short against the Del Sol Dragons on Tuesday, falling 18-1. The Desert Shields were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dragons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Cheyenne's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Del Sol, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cheyenne will square off against Mater Academy East Las Vegas at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Del Sol, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Democracy Prep Agassi Campus at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Dragons are facing the Blue Knights at the right time seeing as the Blue Knights are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
