League recap: Harvard-Westlake tops Sylmar to extend winning streak

Harvard-Westlake added to the longest winning streak in Mission this week by beating Sylmar, 65-24. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.

St. Francis scaled the state rankings by moving to 93 from 164 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Golden Knights climbed the ranks as a result of besting La Mirada 49-20.

Harvard-Westlake's dynamic duo of Marshal Cohen and Julian Shabahang proved tough for the Spartans to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Cohen threw for 175 yards and 3 touchdowns and Shabahang had 129 yards receiving.

Scot Ruggles' team's dynamic duo of Cohen and Shabahang proved to be unstoppable against Sylmar, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

Ty Gangi was a passing and rushing force as St. Francis defeated the Matadores. He completed 16 passes for 217 yards and 2 touchdowns and also ran for 21 yards. Gangi's favorite target this week was Joe Mudie, who caught 5 passes for 74 yards.

Shabahang was the best receiver in the league this week as the Wolverines defeated chris richards' team.

Mudie was the best running back in Mission this week. In 15 carries, he ran for 131 yards as Jim Bonds' team topped the Spartans. Areg Nazarian also contributed to the rushing game with 97 yards on the ground.

Cohen put up the best numbers through the air as the Wolverines defeated Sylmar.

Cathedral took down Westchester 48-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
