Soccer Game Preview: Richland Northeast vs. Providence

Richland Northeast is 2-8 against Providence since March of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Cavaliers will venture away from home to take on the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Providence took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Richland Northeast, who comes in off a win.

Richland Northeast's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They won by a goal and slipped past South Pointe 1-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for Richland Northeast.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Harry Chatman, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, Providence fell victim to Greer Middle College and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 3-0 to the Blazers.

Richland Northeast now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Providence, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.

Richland Northeast beat Providence by a goal in their previous matchup back in March, winning 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cavaliers since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
