After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Middlesex, West Point was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They blew past the Westmoreland Eagles 3-0. This was a revenge game for the Pointers: when they faced off against the Eagles back in September, they had to take a 3-0 loss.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-20, 25-20.

When it comes to explaining why Westmoreland lost, don't look at Morgan Gooch. Despite the final result, she had 17 assists and 16 digs. Gooch has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last four times she's played.

The win got West Point back to even at 8-8. As for Westmoreland, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.

West Point didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-0 victory against Carver College and Career Academy on the 7th. As for Westmoreland, they have also already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Rappahannock on the 7th.
