Axtell never let their opponents score on Friday. They breezed past the Dawson Bulldogs to the tune of 44-0. The result was nothing new for the Longhorns, who have now won four contests by 27 points or more so far this season.

The win (which was Axtell's third in a row) raised their record to 4-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.7 points over those games. As for Dawson, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Axtell is set to square off against their familiar foe Valley Mills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Longhorns 6.8, the Eagles 13.6) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Dawson will take on rival Bosqueville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
