Calvary Christian waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with 11 straight wins... but they left with 12. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Northside Christian Mustangs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 on September 9th.

Calvary Christian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-20, 15-9.

Sophia Puleo paced Calvary Christian's offense, picking up 17 kills. Puleo got some help from Noelle Sarigumba and her 14 assists. Autumn Derksen controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Calvary Christian's win bumped their record up to 21-1. As for Northside Christian, they moved to 13-8 with that defeat, which also ended their eight-match winning streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Calvary Christian will head out to challenge Tampa Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northside Christian, they will venture away from home to square off against IMG Academy Royal at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
