Basketball Recap: Cardinal Ritter College Prep Gets Big Victory over Higher-Ranked Normal Community

On Monday, the Cardinal Ritter College Prep Lions strolled past the Normal Community Ironmen with points to spare, taking the game 54-39. The win was all the more spectacular given the Lions' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 114th in Missouri, while the Ironmen are ranked 25th in Illinois).

Cardinal Ritter College Prep's victory bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Normal Community, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 24-6.

Coming up, Cardinal Ritter College Prep will take on Webster Groves at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Normal Community, they will face off against Normal West at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
