Basketball Recap: Wilde Lake Extends Winning Streak to Four

Howard typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Wilde Lake proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Howard Lions by a score of 86-73. The win was familiar territory for the Wildecats, who have now won four contests in a row.

Wilde Lake's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dre Hoskins led the charge by dropping a double-double with 21 points and 14 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Hoskins a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Devin Wingfield, who went 9-for-19 on his way to 24 points and five assists.

Despite the loss, Howard still got an impressive performance from Josh Ademiju, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 14 boards. Ademiju is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last 11 games he's played. Joe Hill was another key player, going 6-for-13 en route to 18 points and six rebounds.

Wilde Lake's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-4. As for Howard, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.

Wilde Lake has already played their next game, a 59-55 win against Atholton on the 18th. As for Howard, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 77-60 victory against Centennial on the 19th.
