Football Game Preview: Santaluces Chiefs vs. St. John Paul II Academy Eagles

The Santaluces Chiefs will take on the St. John Paul II Academy Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Santaluces' offense hasn't had much luck over their past eight matches, but Monday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Santaluces' offense might be in the hot seat on Monday considering what happened against Royal Palm Beach on Thursday. They had to suffer through a 31-0 loss at the hands of the Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Chiefs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 374th, while the Wildcats are ranked 165th).

Meanwhile, St. John Paul II Academy won against Tradition Prep on Wednesday with 19 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. The Eagles never let Lake Worth get on the board and left with a 19-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

St. John Paul II Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Santaluces, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Santaluces didn't have too much breathing room in their game against St. John Paul II Academy in their previous matchup back in March, but they still walked away with a 6-0 win.
