Soccer Game Preview: Kirby vs. Northpoint Christian

The Kirby Cougars will venture away from home to challenge the Northpoint Christian Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Cougars on Tuesday. Kirby never let The Collegiate School of Memphis get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Kirby was the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Northpoint Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out Overton 2-1 on Thursday. Northpoint Christian haven't had any issues with Overton recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Cooper Mansell and Maverick Ray scored both of Northpoint Christian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Kirby's record is now 3-0. As for Northpoint Christian, the win got them back to even at 4-4-1.
