Basketball Game Preview: Orange Panthers vs. Santa Ana Valley Falcons

Orange has gone 5-0 against Santa Ana Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Orange Panthers will be playing at home against the Santa Ana Valley Falcons at 6:00 p.m. Orange has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Having struggled with 17 defeats in a row, Orange turned things around against Loara on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 70-51 victory over the Saxons. The Panthers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Orange got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ivan Kim out in front who posted 17 points. Those 17 points gave Kim a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Landen Gomez, who put up 12 points.

Meanwhile, Santa Ana Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Anaheim 83-42.

Santa Ana Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Orange, their victory ended a 19-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-20.

Orange strolled past Santa Ana Valley when the teams last played back in December of 2018 by a score of 54-37. Does Orange have another victory up their sleeve, or will Santa Ana Valley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
