Baseball Game Preview: Franklin Sabers vs. Kenosha Tremper Trojans

For the second straight game, Franklin will face off against Kenosha Tremper. The Sabers will head out to take on the Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Franklin is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season.

Franklin took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over Kenosha Tremper. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Sabers considering their one-run performance the match before.

Dominick Walters and Onyu Lee did most of the damage at the plate: Walters went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Lee went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. Those four RBI gave Walters a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Firle, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Franklin pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Kenosha Tremper, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-4-1.
