Basketball Recap: Lebanon Takes a Loss

Lebanon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 62-48 to the LaVergne Wolverines. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 210th, while the Wolverines are ranked 60th).

Lebanon's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for LaVergne, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-7.

Lebanon is taking a road trip to face off against Smyrna at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Smyrna knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Lebanon likes a good challenge. LaVergne has already played their next match (against Cookeville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
