Football Recap: Travis Streeter's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Yucaipa over Redlands East Valley + How To Watch

Yucaipa came into this matchup off a tough 47-point defeat last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Redlands East Valley Wildcats by a score of 43-41 on Friday. The close game was extra heartbreaking for the Thunderbirds, who almost overcame a 29 point deficit.

Yucaipa's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Travis Streeter, who rushed for 24 yards and a pair of TDs, and also picked up 34 receiving yards and one touchdown. Lu Sartin was another key receiver, picking up 139 receiving yards and one score.

Vitela Isaac continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Redlands East Valley, rushing for 160 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 255 yards and three TDs. Isaac has become a key player for the Wildcats: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three passing touchdowns, but 2-3 otherwise.

Yucaipa is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7. As for Redlands East Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
