Football Recap: Travis Streeter's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Yucaipa over Redlands East Valley + How To Watch

Yucaipa blew Redlands East Valley out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Redlands East Valley got their revenge. The Thunderbirds fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 43-41. The close matchup was extra heartbreaking for the Thunderbirds, who almost overcame a 29 point deficit.

Yucaipa lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Travis Streeter, who rushed for 24 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 34 receiving yards and one score. Lu Sartin was another key player, picking up 139 receiving yards and one TD.

Vitela Isaac was his usual excellent self, rushing for 160 yards and three scores, while also throwing for 255 yards and three touchdowns for Redlands East Valley. Isaac has become a key player for the Wildcats: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three passing touchdowns, but 2-3 otherwise.

Yucaipa is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7. As for Redlands East Valley, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-3.
