Raymore-Peculiar dropped their record down to 13-17 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 10-0 to the Staley Falcons. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Panthers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Staley, their win was their 13th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 28-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games.

For Staley's part, Kyle Pearcy looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. Pearcy has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Staley let Grant Madrid and Evan Abbott run wild. Madrid went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Abbott got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. That's the most RBI Madrid has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Andrew Maultsby, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Raymore-Peculiar does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Staley, they will square off against Lee's Summit at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
