Softball Recap: L.E.A.D. Academy Takes a Loss

L.E.A.D. Academy extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to eight on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 0-6 in the process. They lost 19-4 to the Lighthouse Private Christian Academy Stingrays. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Stingrays this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 28-8 back in March.

As for Lighthouse Private Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-12 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.9 runs over those games.

For Lighthouse Private Christian Academy's part, Rylee L was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs L has posted since back in March. Leila Y was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

L.E.A.D. Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lighthouse Private Christian Academy, they will challenge West Florida Baptist Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Conquerors will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Stingrays surely won't give up without a fight.
