Baseball Recap: Pinson Valley Indians vs. Paul W. Bryant Stampede
Pinson Valley had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Paul W. Bryant Stampede with a sharp 16-1 win. This was a revenge game for the Indians: when they faced off against the Stampede two weeks ago, they had to take a 7-4 loss.
Jaylon Sharpe made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. That's the fewest earned runs he has allowed since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and five RBI. In other batting news, Kirby Reddick was a standout: he scored three runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
