Softball Recap: Halifax County Snags Ninth Victory in Last 12 Games

Halifax County got themselves on the board against Bassett on Tuesday, but Bassett never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over the Bengals. Considering the Comets have won seven contests by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Halifax County has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Bassett, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.

Coming up, Halifax County will take on Tunstall at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bassett does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
